    The Olathe City Council approved entering into a contract to purchase the vacant Hy-Vee building at 135th and Brougham in east Olathe.  The 68,000 square-foot-building is envisioned to be programmed for library use and relocation of the Indian Creek Library.

    All potentially impacted customers have been notified.
    Out of an abundance of caution, the City of Olathe has notified all potentially impacted customers that field testing showed the potential for high levels of lead in a portion of one Olathe neighborhood, Ridgeview South.  Though field testing from the meter is not considered an accurate barometer for lead, the City is erring on the side of caution. 

    There are no water quality concerns outside that specific area, and the City continues to meet or exceed all state and federal clean water standards.
