Please join us for a retirement reception as we honor Sergeant Larry Parks for his 25 plus years of Law Enforcement service. This reception will take place in the Training Room of the Olathe Police Department, 501 E. Old 56 Hwy in Olathe, on Thursday December 11th at 3:30 pm.

Larry Parks started his career with the Olathe Police Department in February of 1983 as a patrol officer. Larry Parks served as a Field Training Officer and he also became a member of the Department's Tactical Support Unit.

Larry Parks was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in April of 1991 and he continued to serve as a Communications supervisor, Training Sergeant, Detective Sergeant and Patrol Sergeant. Sgt. Parks also supervised the department's Canine Unit.

Sergeant Parks was dedicated to serving his community and his fellow employees at the Olathe Police Department. He is well respected and will be remembered for his outstanding commitment to law enforcement. We of the Olathe Police Department are proud to have served with him.
