Amanda Kaufman has been working for the City of Olathe as an ICMA Local Government Management Fellow since July 2011. 

Kaufman has a Master of Public Administration Degree from the School of Government at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  Her Bachelor’s degree, also in Public Administration, is from Winona State University in Minnesota.

She has prior experience working in three municipal governments, including the Budget Office of Cary, North Carolina and the Manager’s Offices of Holly Springs, North Carolina and Klamath Falls, Oregon.  She also spent one year serving in the AmeriCorps VISTA program as a Community Outreach Coordinator for United Way of Olmsted County and the Minnesota Association for Volunteer Administration.
