Management Analyst Intern
Dylan has been working for the City of Olathe since September 2009. He began work as a budget intern in the Resource Management Department. He assisted with the 2011 Budget process, began working on a revenue manual, and helped compile data for several city reports. He also assisted with performance management efforts. Dylan's current duties include planning/organizing the 3rd Grade Program "Learning About Olathe," working with the Olathe Teen Council and working as a staff liaison to the Olathe Communities That Care initiative. He also performs work as assigned by the City Manager and Assistant City Manager.
Dylan is a 2nd year student in the Edwin O. Stene Master of Public Administration Program at the University of Kansas. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah.
He frequently volunteers his time to several organizations in the community. Dylan is an AmeriCorps member, serves as a Cub Scout leader at his church, participates in the City's Snow Brigade program, and is a youth mentor to several Olathe school district children in the YouthFriends program. Dylan also volunteers for the Persons with Disabilities Advisory Board and Downtown Olathe Arts Festival Steering Committee. Dylan will soon receive the President's Volunteer Service Award.
Though originally from Utah, Dylan and his wife, Kira, are proud to call Olathe their home.
