The Mayor and Councilmembers of the City of Olathe are elected to serve four-year, staggered terms. Every two years, during the spring of odd numbered years, the City of Olathe conducts elections.
Qualified Electors within the City of Olathe may submit a Candidate's Declaration of Intent form to begin the process of seeking office. The Declaration Forms and filing fees are submitted to the City Clerk's Office. For more information, please contact the City Clerk's Office at (913) 971-8521.
Elections will be held for the following positions in 2015:
Mayor, Council-At-Large, Ward 1 and Ward 2
The packet of documents to file for office is available below. The Candidate Declaration of Intention Filing Form must be completed and signed in the presence of the City Clerk. Other forms may be completed and submitted according to the memo attached in the packet.
