Zeny Bustillo Schmidt, past chair and member of the Sister Cities Committee, recently retired from Olathe District Schools after being in education for thirty-four years.

Zeny started teaching in Olathe in 1981, later serving as an assistant principal, principal, and director of Bilingual Student Services. 

In addition to the Sister Cities Committee, Zeny is a member of the K-State Research and Extension Community Development; the Olathe District Schools Advisory Board for Multicultural Students and Families; and the REACH Healthcare Foundation Board.

Zeny's husband, Dan, works for Hallmark Cards.  They have two sons and four grandchildren.
