Olathe Goals:

  • Continue providing high quality services that residents expect within our budget constraints we are facing in the slower economy
  • We must continue moving forward on annexation agreements with Overland Park and Spring Hill to plan ahead for future growth, where it will happen and how we will be able to serve those areas.
  • Continue prioritizing how we address traffic because we will continue growing. We must plan for traffic problem areas and aggressively identify solutions. We will continue working on trying to mitigate rail crossings where possible. Top projects to improve traffic flow include an over/underpass built on Santa Fe and an overpass at 127th Street and I-35.
  • Maintain the high standards we have set for our streets while being forward looking in addressing the growing traffic challenge for commuters traveling downtown during rush hour on I-35.

Term: 4/11 - 4/15
