Swimming pool information:
The primary focus of this packet is to cover the need for an effective barrier surrounding the water areas: swimming pools, spas and hot tubs to reduce the potential for young children to gain uncontrolled access. Drowning is the second leading cause of accidental death in the home for children under five years of age. The effective use of barriers is the best way to reduce these tragic losses relevant to pools, spas and hot tubs.

Complete requirements may be found in Appendix G and Chap. 41 (Electrical) of the International Residential Code.
