The Community Risk Management Division (1225 S. Hamilton Circle) coordinates fire and life safety inspections and related services: 

  • Cereal malt beverage.
  • Crowd manager.
    • A trained crowd manager is required for events (outdoors or indoors) or facilities where more than 1,000 people gather - one crowd manager to every 250 persons (1:250) per the International Fire Code. More information is in "Title 16 - Fire Prevention" of the Olathe Municipal Code.
    • Where can I find crowd manager training? Here are two options for crowd manager education online:
  • Daycares: home and commercial.
  • Blasting (explosive) permits.
  • Fire alarm testing.
  • Flushes.
  • Hood systems.
  • Hydrostatic testing.
  • KNOX-BOX rapid entry system (applications are online and at Fire Administration).
  • New construction.
  • Open burning regulations and permits.
  • Plan reviews.
