Human Resources

Human Resources is a branch of the Resource Management Department within the City of Olathe and is responsible for the following actions:

  • To develop and manage staff performance to ensure excellent public service.

Olathe Works SMART – to achieve excellence in performance management and development.

  • To manage benefit plan and liability components of the Risk Management Fund to ensure adequate reserves.

Olathe Wellbeing – to realize three goals of the City’s benefit plan: premium relief, reserve build-up, and wellness advancement.

Olathe Works SAFE – to minimize liability and protect City staff, property, assets, and residents.

  • To promote a culture of diversity and compliance to project a positive image of the City.

Olathe Works NOW – to recruit top performers and manage employment relationship.
