The city of Olathe is committed to offering a comprehensive and affordable array of benefits. The city is integrating wellness, consumerism and comprehensive coverage to employees. The city has designed 2 health benefit programs from which to choose and maintains a broad network of providers. When you become an employee of the city you and your family can share in a progressive package of benefit programs which include the following: 2 Health Plans, Prescription Drug Coverage, Vision and Hearing, Dental, Flex Plan, Employee Assistance Program, City paid Long Term Care, Life Insurance, Kansas Retirement Pension, Deferred Compensation with a 457 Plan, and much more.

The city believes that balancing work and life are important factors to employees.  Olathe offers employees benefits that help to accommodate a good work life balance for the people who serve our community.  The city has a strong employee assistance program, 10.5 paid holidays, 10 days vacation per year for new employees, sick leave and personal leave.
