Human and Civil Rights Programs

The Human and Civil Rights programs provide events and activities to establish community involvement aimed at improving human relations and encouraging harmony among racial and ethnic groups. Annually, the following events/celebrations are planned:

• Martin Luther King Essay Contest in January
• Human Relations Month in March
• Americana Jubilee in June
• Deaf Sunday Activity in September
• Disability Awareness Month in October
• International Human Rights Week in December.
