Olathe Library Volunteers Set New Record In 2016

Post Date:01/30/2017 1:41 PM
A total of 484 volunteers provided a record 12,556 hours of volunteer service in 2016, marking a 1.5% increase in library voluntarism over 2015. This number is particularly impressive because the March flood at the Indian Creek Library significantly decreased volunteer opportunities from March to August.

The library’s largest volunteer group, the Friends of the Olathe Public Library, was active in the community and donated funds for various library programs and equipment. For a complete list of the 2016 accomplishments, visit OlatheLibrary.org/Friends.
