Birthday Parties

Enjoy your birthday party at Mahaffie! Ride the Stagecoach, feed the chickens, or race stick horses! The Barlow and Sanderson’s Southern Overland Mail and Express Company contracted with the Mahaffie Family to operate a home station.  Stagecoaches would travel to three different destinations, Lawrence, KS, Fort Scott, KS, and Santa Fe, New Mexico Territory.  Passengers stopped at the Mahaffie farm, had a meal, and continued their travels.  In that tradition, the Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and Farm offers three birthday packages to choose from:

•  Lawrence Express - includes set up and clean up, tableware, decorations, homemade cupcakes, drinks, time to open presents, birthday party souvenir bag, and one program element (see below).  This rate applies up to 20 people, including adults.  Any additional participant, parent or child, will be $5 per person. 
  Cost: $125
  Time: 2 hours
• Fort Scott Express - includes the Lawrence Express, plus one additional program element (see below).
  Time: 2hours.
  Cost: $150
• Santa Fe Express-includes the Lawrence Express, stagecoach ride, and one additional program element (see below).
  Time: 2.5 hours
  Cost: $200
