Once again, the City of Olathe has been awarded the EXCELLENCE IN SALT STORAGE AWARD by The Salt Institute for its "superior environmental management of its salt storage facility" at the Harold Street Salt Barn. The award was one of only 15 awards presented from entries throughout North America.
In addition to the Harold Street Barn, this year the city's new salt storage building at Lone Elm Park was recognized for city's "Continuing excellence in storage and environmental management."
Olathe was last recognized in 2007 before the Lone Elm facility began operation.
