Olathe Partnering to Offer Discounted Prescriptions

The City of Olathe is partnering with the National League of Cities to offer all residents a prescription drug discount program. The program not only provides an average 20% discount on prescriptions for those without insurance, but also may be used for prescription drugs (smoking cessation, etc.) that may not be covered by health insurance. In addition, pet medications that are used to treat human conditions are covered. There are no restrictions on who may use the card or how many times it is used.

The discount will be honored at all identified Olathe pharmacies and nine out of ten pharmacies nationwide. For residents to participate in the program, simply pick up a discount health insurance card at any of the following locations: City Hall, 100 E. Santa Fe, the downtown Olathe Public Library, the Indian Creek Branch Library on Black Bob, Olathe Municipal Services Center on Robinson, Olathe Municipal Court on Harrison, the Olathe Public Safety Building on the Corner of Old 56 Highway and Harrison, Olathe Fire Administration on South Hamilton Circle, and Olathe Parks and Recreation on the northwest corner of Kansas Avenue and Santa Fe.
