Olathe Teen Council Accepting Applications

Olathe Teen Council, a program facilitated for Olathe youth in grades 9-12 through a partnership between the City of Olathe and Olathe District Schools is now accepting applications for the 2009-2010 school year. The Council is modeled loosely after the Olathe City Council and gives youth the opportunity to impact the Olathe community while learning about local government and creating active and informed citizens. The privilege of a seat on the Olathe Teen Council is awarded to 15 individuals from Olathe public, private, and home schools. Three representatives are accepted from each public Olathe high school with three representatives from private and home schools. All students in grades 9-12 are encouraged to apply.
