Olathe Water Rated Best Tasting

At their 2010 Conference and Exhibition on March 30th through April 1st, the Kansas Rural Water Association (KWRA) held its “Best Tasting Water in Kansas contest. For the second time in the last three years, Olathe water was judged best. Olathe won the honor the last time it competed in the contest in 2008.

This year, 19 water systems from cities and water districts competed in the event that is judged by a broad cross-section of individuals in the public drinking water industry including officials from city and rural water systems, State of Kansas officials and consultants.

As the Kansas state winner, Olathe will now compete in the national “Great American Taste Test” in Washington, D.C. in 2011.
