Olathe Announces Crime Free Business Program

The Olathe Police Department, the City of Olathe, and the Olathe Chamber of Commerce are pleased to  announce a new crime prevention program available to Olathe businesses.

The Olathe Crime Free Business Program is designed to strengthen the relationship between the Olathe business community and the Olathe Police Department in an effort to reduce crime and improve the quality of commerce in the Olathe area.

The Crime Free Business Program is also designed to benefit the community-at-large by providing citizens access to safe and secure businesses.
Any business located in Olathe is eligible for the program and there is no cost to participate. All materials and training will be provided free of charge by the Olathe Police Department.

This program was made possible in part by a grant received through the Target Public Safety Grant Program.  Some of the benefits of Crime Free Business Certification are:

  • Improved safety and security for business owners, managers, employees and customers
  • One-on-one access to a Police Department Crime Free Officer
  • A program specifically tailored to the security and safety needs of your business
  • Updated and ongoing information about local crime and crime prevention strategies
