Olathe residents can recycle cut trees by placing them at the curb on their regular trash collection day.

Residents can also take trees to the City of Olathe Composting Facility (127th Street and Hedge Lane) between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.  The Composting Facility will be closed on Saturday, December 31.

• All ornaments, lights and plastic wrap must be removed from trees for curbside collection or composting facility drop off.
• Plastic bags and tree stands should be revmoved.
• Large trees (over 7-feet tall) should be cut in half.
