Olathe Public Library to Upgrade Lighting

Library patrons for the next couple of months will start noticing improvements to the lighting at Olathe Public Library, 201 E. Park St.

Teague Electric will begin work during the overnight hours Monday, Oct. 1 to be the least destructive to patrons and staff. If it is necessary to close a section of the library during the day, staff will be able to retrieve materials for the public.

The project, funded by the library’s capital improvement fund, will be completed in eight phases. At this time, there are no plans to close the library during normal operating hours. Completion is slated for late November.
