Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund
During the holiday season, our thoughts turn to the many, many blessings we enjoy as a community and to the charities who work tirelessly to give hope and encouragement to those less fortunate. For many years, the Olathe Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund has supported those charities that help us meet the most critical needs in our community. In 2007, we announced a new Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund Board, comprised of community leaders and friends dedicated to Olathe children and families. Their commitment increased awareness of the Fund and more than tripled the amount of support we received from the community from the year before! On behalf of our Board, I urge you to consider supporting the Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund. Your donation will help us touch the lives of countless Olathe children, giving them hope for a brighter tomorrow. And, it's important to know that 100 percent of the Fund proceeds stay right here in our community! This year's Fund recipients include:
Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund donations will be collected from October 1 through December 31 this year and will be distributed to beneficiaries early next year. Our goal for 2008 is to raise $50,000, and I know that with your support, that goal is within reach! Checks should be made payable to the Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund and sent to the City of Olathe, Office of the Mayor, P. O. Box 768, Olathe, KS 66051-0768. Donors also have the option of making contributions on line using a credit or debit card. Donations are tax-deductible, and all donors will receive an acknowledgement of their contribution. Thank you for being part of our great community and for helping us make a real and lasting difference in the lives of our neighbors!
