Public Art and Culture Commission Accepting Proposals for Grants
The City of Olathe is accepting proposals for public art grant funds for 2008. The Olathe Public Art and Cultural Commission will review grant applications and make recommendations to the City Council for funding. Applications are available from the Parks and Recreation office and are due by Friday, February 29, 2008.
Art funding must benefit the Olathe community, its artists and audiences. Only 501(c) (3) agencies may qualify, although the Commission itself may also submit and qualify for programs. The Commission was established by the City Council to help make recommendations on arts funding as well as advising on establishing policies and regulations relating to public art and cultural programs in Olathe.
