The Olathe Municipal Services (OMS) department is constantly working to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the services we provide, as well as meet new regulatory requirements.

2007 Sanitary Sewer Manhole Rehabilitation Project
As part of the ongoing infitration and inflow (I&I) reduction program, the 2007 Sanitary Sewer Manhole Rehabilitation project includes installation of fiber-reinforced cementitious liner in 35 manholes, most of which are located within the Indian Creek area. Bids for this project were opened August 7, 2007 and the Council awarded the contract to Dobson-Davis Company for an amount of $52,147.50.  The project is scheduled to be completed December 21, 2007. Additional work will be put out for bid in Spring 2008 as a continuation of the I&I reduction program with work progressing during the Summer.

2007 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project (CIPP)

 The 2007 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project (CIPP) includes installation of a cured-in-place-pipe liner in 3,805 linear feet of sanitary sewer pipe as part of the ongoing I&I reduction program. The CIPP lined pipe will regain structural stability and reduce entry points for root invasion and groundwater entry into the collection system. Bids were opened November 14, 2007 and the Council awarded the contract to I-Con Underground, LLC for an amount of $104,444.44. Work on this project is tentatively scheduled to begin mid-December.
