Water Quality
Olathe’s drinking water consistently meets or exceeds all state and federal standards for safe drinking water. The City's Water Production division runs hundreds of tests a day to ensure your water is safe. These tests are conducted all throughout Olathe’s water system – from the source of the water supply to the tap at individual's homes.
Information on Olathe’s drinking water is published in our annual water quality report that is mailed each spring to our customers. These reports cover the entire previous year's sampling results.
Over 100 Years of Drinking Water Treatment and Distribution
The City has two water plants that treat on average 13 million gallons of water per day, supplying safe drinking water to approximately 100,000 people throughout Olathe.
