Softball Camps

The Olathe Parks and Recreation Softball Camps are designed to give each camper instruction in fundamental skills of hitting, pitching, fielding, throwing and game situations.
CAMP INSTRUCTOR: Mark Mahoney, Olathe Northwest varsity softball coach. With 11 years of head softball experience Coach Mahoney has led his teams to 5 league championships, 4 regional championships and has led the Ravens to two 6A state championship in 2009 and 2011. A 9 time Coach of the Year, in 2009 Mahoney received the Kansas Softball Coach of the Year and the Midwest Sectional Coach of the Year.

CAMP CONDUCT POLICY

To maximize the learning experience of the camp and to insure the utmost safety for each participant, campers will be expected to adhere to all rules and regulations established by the camp personnel. Should any camper continually disregard the conduct code policy, the parent(s) will be notified and the camper returned home without refund of the fee.

GOALS (To Players and Parents)

The Olathe Parks and Recreation Baseball Camps are designed to give each camper instruction in the fundamental skills of hitting, pitching, fielding, throwing and game situations. Individual instruction and team play will be emphasized. As a staff, our goal is to improve each camper in the fundamental skills during the summer baseball season. We want to take players with varied ability and individualize the instruction so as to help each player realize his potential.
