It Starts in the Parks

Olathe Parks & Recreation has adopted a national initiative which develops new approaches to improving the health of all our community members. "It Starts in Parks" was developed by the National Recreation & Parks Association and corporate partners in response to increased obesity and related health problems among adults and children. Parks and Recreation agencies have a dynamic and unique role to foster lifestyle behaviors that contribute to improved health. Olathe Parks & Recreation intends to take on a leadership role in this initiative by creating new programs and enhancing traditional ones in order to provide fun, interactive opportunities for you to focus on improving your current lifestyle.
