All residents who own, keep, or harbor any dog or cat over six (6) months old must license the animal with the City of Olathe. Review the License Ordinance for more information.
Pet Licensing Instructions
Step 1 - Gather Documentation

Current Rabies Vaccination Certificate from licensed veterinarian - Ensure all owner/animal information is current and accurate. Note any corrections directly on the certificate.

Spay or Neuter Certificate from licensed veterinarian - Not needed if the rabies certificate indicates the animal is spayed or neutered.

Microchip Registration Information - Optional - We will register your microchip information into our database at no charge. Microchip information can expedite the return of lost pets.
