BNSF Grade Separation Project

Project Location/Limits:
From north and east of Ridgeview Rd. to south of Loula St. along the Fort Scott Subdivision of the BNSF Railroad.

Project Scope:
Construction of new mainline tracks parallel to existing tracks of the BNSF Fort Scott Subdivision constructed on retained embankment and bridges crossing Ridgeview Rd., Santa Fe St., Park St. and Loula St. Phase III will occur after the trains are on the new structure and will include reconstruction of these streets to eliminate their existing crossings.

Current Project Status:
Phase III of the construction is the reconstruction of the City streets below the bridges.  Park and Loula Streets have been completed.  Santa Fe and Ridgeview Road have been lowered with construction of the medians and final asphalt layers to be installed.  The work is scheduled to be completed by early December 2008.
