Project Location/Limits:
From Heritage Park to Black Bob Park.
Project Scope:
10' asphalt trail will run from Heritage Park to Black Bob park. Trail will be located in gasline easements, Powerline easements and greenspace of several subdivisions. The KDOT is funding 80% of the construction costs. Johnson County Parks and Recreation district is funding 10%. City of Olathe Parks sales tax is funding the remaining 10%.
Current Project Status:
Final plans, construction documents and land acquisition are currently under way. A public meeting was held in Fall of 2006. The project is on schedule with an late summer of 2008 letting anticipated. Construction will follow in the fall of 2008 and completion of the project is expected for summer of 2009.
