Lone Elm Road Interchange

Project Scope:
Construction of an interchange at Lone Elm Road and I-35.   Lone Elm Road  between 151st & 159th will be reconstructed as a 4-lane divided arterial with designated bike lanes.

Current Project Status:
The project has been awarded by KDOT to APAC Construction of Kansas City, Kansas.  The construction began in April, 2008 and is anticipated to be completed in June, 2010.  Currently the main bridges over I-35 for Lone Elm Road and 159th Street and the widening of I-35 are near completion.  Lone Elm Road between 149th Street and 163rd Street and 159th Street over I-35 will be closed to through traffic during most of the construction.  Detours are marked for each closure. Work on I-35 is almost completed except for the completion of the ramps. The project is on schedule to be completed in June, 2010.
