Olathe children and families are welcome to attend a free children’s concert featuring Craig Toungate at Olathe’s annual End-of-Summer Reading Celebration at Olathe East High School on Saturday, August 16.  Magician Devin Henderson will also perform as part of the celebration, which is scheduled in the Olathe East gymnasium from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.

The End-of Summer Reading Celebration is Olathe’s Summer Reading Finale and rewards those children who have participated in the Olathe Public Library’s Summer Reading Club.  The concert is sponsored by the Friends of the Olathe Public Library and OLATHE READS, a literacy partnership of the City of Olathe, Olathe District Schools, and the Olathe Public Library.  This year's event is made possible through the generous support of the Friends of the Olathe Public Library and Olathe District Schools.  Through the efforts of OLATHE READS, the Olathe Library saw a record number of children enrolled in this year’s Summer Reading Club.
