Developer Forum and Public Workshop - February 29th

Developer Forum and Public Workshop - February 29th

Public meetings concerning the City's Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) and Design Guideline update will be held on Wednesday, February 29th in the Council Chamber at Olathe City Hall, 100 East Santa Fe.  The UDO will include new standards for zoning, building design, site planning, infrastructure, landscaping, parking, nonconformities and vested rights, and uses.  It will also update the process for approving new development.

It is important for us to hear your thoughts about the new UDO.  For example:

  • What specific changes would you like to see?
  • How can the City ensure quality development while maintaining affordability and certainty?
  • How can we process zoning, subdivision plat, site plan, and other development applications more quickly?

Your thoughts on these and other questions will help us provide a UDO that works better in the marketplace while implementing the City’s new comprehensive plan.  An RSVP is appreciated, but not required.   Please contact the Planning Division at 913.971.8750 to RSVP.
