Artist: Robert Lamberson
Location: Santa Fe (between Kansas & Walnut)
Medium: Welded Steel
Description: This piece depicts an acrobat suspended high in the air with his feet and hands braced between two poles. The artist developed this piece because of a visit to the Barnum & Bailey Circus in August of 1947 in Grand Island, NE. He was fascinated by a man climbing two poles which were not attached to anything, to a height of about 15 ft. This image has stuck in his mind for nearly 60 years.
