Built in 1865, the Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop & Farm Historic Site is listed on the National and Kansas Registers of Historic Places, and is recognized as an official component of the Santa Fe National Historic Trail by the National Park Service.

Join the staff of the Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and Farm Historic Site to begin your holiday season!
Meet Father Christmas, string popcorn, or make an ornament in the stagecoach dining room to take home, and if the weather permits, enjoy 19th century games outdoors. Children should have their Christmas lists ready when Santa Claus arrives for his traditional visit at 1 p.m.
Five Olathe historic homes in the Original Town area will be open and decorated for the holidays.
Advance tickets: $7, $9 day of tour.

Kansas Special Olympics photographer Myron Cramer will take photos with your choice of Santa or a Christmas tree. All proceeds will benefit the Olathe Special Olympics' effort to raise money to purchase a shuttle bus. Choose from two $10 packages. Photos will be mailed to you before Christmas.

Residential trash and recycling will not be collected on Christmas Day (12/25) or New Year's Day (1/1). Yard waste WILL be collected on Monday, December 24 and December 31.
Residents with Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday collection days will have their collection delayed one day the weeks of Christmas and New Year's Day.
