The newly-expanded and enhanced downtown Olathe parking garage, located north of Loula between Cherry and Chestnut Streets, will officially open after a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 26. The ceremony will be held at the new Chestnut St. entrance to the expanded garage. This expansion project has added 400 parking spaces in that area. The project was started June 30, 2007 and was completed on-time and on-budget. Start: 6:30 pm

Olathe Mayor Michael Copeland, the Olathe City Council, local legislators, City of Olathe staff and the community will attend the dedication and ribbon-cutting for the Mahaffie Heritage Center, 1200 Kansas City Road. Attendees will be able to tour the new facility and the exhibit area. Parking will be available across the street from the Heritage Center at Stagecoach Park.
