Residential trash and recycling will not be collected on Christmas Day or New Year's Day.  

Residents with Thursday or Friday collection days will have their collection delayed one day the weeks of Christmas and New Year's.

The Comprehensive Plan is the official statement of the City setting forth the goals and vision for future growth and development, and directly or indirectly affects residents'transportation, parks and green spaces, housing choices, community economic issues, and other areas.

The annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration will honor the life and legacy of Dr. King. Finalists in the MLK OHRC Contest will be on display in the categories of essay, visual arts, and multi-media at the Community Open House. The event is free and the public is encouraged to attend.
 
In conjunction with the Community Open House, the City of Olathe will host the Olathe Chamber of Commerce Coffee.

The annual Martin Luther King Jr. Noon Day Observance will honor the life and legacy of Dr. King. The Noon Day Observance will include a brief program and the announcement of the winners in the MLK OHRC Contest.  The event is free and the public is encouraged to attend.

The event, held in the Olathe City Hall Council Chamber, is sponsored by the Olathe Human Relations Commission, Olathe District Schools and the City of Olathe Office of Human Relations.
