New expanded dates and hours for Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off begin with the Second Saturday Event scheduled for February 11, 2012. The FREE event is open to all Johnson County residents from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm.

Scheduled drop-offs will now be available Wednesday through Friday from 10:00am to 6:00pm beginning February 15th and Saturdays (with the exception of 2nd Saturday Events) from 8:00am to 2:00pm by appointment only.

The Olathe City Council and Olathe School Board will hold a joint meeting at 6:00 p.m. on February 16, 2012.

Activities on the farm go on year-round.  Help with winter farm activities such as soap and sausage making, smoking meat, see what is cooking on the cookstove and ride the stagecoach (weather permitting).

The Olathe City Council will hold a special session on February 28, 2012, at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber at 100 E. Santa Fe, Olathe, Kansas 66061.  The meeting will be to consider selection of a candidate to fill the At-Large City Council seat vacated by Councilmember Bob Montgomery.

Developer Forum and Public Workshop Set for Wed 2/29 -- Two public meetings concerning the City’s Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) and Design Guideline Update are scheduled for Wednesday, February 29 in the Council Chamber of Olathe City Hall, 100 E. Santa Fe.

A developer forum will run from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., beginning with a 20-minute presentation followed by open discussion and comments.  Coffee and breakfast items will be available in the lobby beginning at 8:00 a.m.
