A variety of recreation programs geared specifically for persons with intellectual challenges including Special Olympics, swimming, bowling, chorus, dances, camps and more are offered through Olathe Parks & Recreation Department. Accommodations for other programs are available upon request.

The City of Olathe provides a scholarship program for individuals and families who meet income-eligibility criteria. Scholarship money is limited; however, applications are available in every Parks and Recreation Activity Guide, on our website at olatheks.org/parksrec under Activity Guide; and in our office located at 100 E Santa Fe  Box 768, Olathe KS 66051. Information can also be obtained by calling the Parks and Recreation office at 913-971-8563.
