Bundle up and enjoy 1860s winter farm activities! Winter activities may include: sawing wood, maple syrup demonstration, cookstove and blacksmith demonstrations and sausage making. Enjoy our hands on children's kiosks and craft activities in the Heritage Center, thanks to the Youth Volunteer Corps of Greater Kansas City.
Enjoy pancakes, sausage, make a craft and have your picture taken with President George Washington and President Abraham Lincoln! Samples of maple syurp from last year's demonstrations may be available during this event. Cost is $7/person ages 3 and up and includes all Winter on the Farm activities. Registration and payment required before the event and a minimum of 30 paying participants is required to host the event.
Enjoy winter activities such as cookstove and blacksmith demonstrations, sawing wood and a horse drawn hay wagon ride, (weather and ground conditions permitting). This is an open house format from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. No specific time is required when you register. The day of the program, please pick up your map and pay your admission at the Heritage Center. Cost is $5/student and accompanying adults are free.
Dress in your Sunday best and bring your favorite doll, stuffed animal or teddy bear. Enjoy tea, cookies and a craft. Two sessions are offered: 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Registration is required and each session is limited to 80 participants.
