Preschools, daycares and summer youth groups are invited to attend Day Out with Frank & Ella in June and July at Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and Farm 1200 Kansas City Road Olathe, KS. 1860s hands on activities, a stagecoach ride and a craft are included with admission. Cost is $5/youth, accompaying adults are free. A different theme of history will be featured each week.

The City of Olathe sponsors Farmers' Market to provide a means by which individuals may sell primarily regionally grown fresh produce and/or plants and fresh flowers. The intent of the market is to offer primarily for retail sale only produce that can be grown in this geographic area and is not refined and/or made into another product.

Celebrate your patriotism to our country with Olathe's free fireworks display! The free display will begin at approximately 9:30 pm at the Great Mall of the Great Plains, 20700 W. 151st St.  If it happens to rain, the firework display will be rescheduled to July 5th at the same time.

Enjoy stagecoach rides, visits to the blacksmith, and a reading of the Declaration of Independence at noon.  See what is cooking on the cookstove and enjoy the exhibits in the Heritage Center.  Regular site admission applies: $6/adults, $4/children ages 5-11.  Olathe residents receive $1 off.
