Home School Families can bundle up and enjoy hands on 1860s winter farm activities with other home school families. Activities may include sawing wood, horse drawn hay wagon rides, soap making, and blacksmith demonstrations. Dress in your Sunday best and bring your favorite doll or stuffed animal to enjoy tea, refreshments and make a craft. The tea will be at the Heritage Center at Mahaffie. Cost is $5/child and $5/adult. Registration is required and payment is due the day of the event.
Bundle up and enjoy 1860s Winter activities on the Farm! Enjoy visiting the blacksmith, horse powered wheat threshing demonstrations, see what is cooking on Mrs. Mahaffie's cookstove and stagecoach rides will be offered (weather and ground conditions permitting). The Santa Fe Trail Amateur Radio Club will also be conducting HAM Radio demonstrations throughout the day in the Heritage Center.
