Olathe Communities that Care and Olathe Parks & Recreation presents the 2nd-annual winter Teen Bash at the Olathe Community Center on Friday, December 18th, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Check-in begins at 6:45 p.m. and the event is open to students 6th to 8th grade.

A public meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9 at Meadow Lane Elementary for input on the development of the Meadow Lane Trail. The trail will run from Stratton Oaks subdivision to Ridgeview Road, connecting with the Johnson County Gary Haller Trail. This meeting will cover the design and construction schedule and allow for attendees to give their input on the development.

Bring your flashlights and help us find the Candy Canes Santa dropped on Stagecoach Park. Special Candy Canes can be redeemed for great prizes. After all the Candy Canes are found warm up with some hot chocolate! Participants must bring their own Flashlights.

The City of Olathe will hold a Lake Olathe and Cedar Lake Master Plan public forum on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 5:30 p.m.

Fight off villains like true super heroes, with water blasters and splash balls. Play villains and heroes, leap tall buildings in a single bound and try to defeat the ultimate villain. The first 25 kids get a waterblaster. Please no regular squirt guns. Check in at the front desk for your event wrist band to claim your water blaster at the pool. The party games kick off at 6:00 p.m. and run until 7:30 p.m. OCC open swim is 4-8:30 p.m.. Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a registered adult.

You'll have a spooktacular time swimming in our Haunted Swamp. The fun starts with treats and activities including a pumpkin dive followed by open swim in the swamp. Be sure to bring your halloween buckets to collect all your goodies. Price includes one adult and one child. Additional participants $8
