The City of Olathe welcomes you to the 2015 Downtown Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit.
Nine sculptures have been selected and displayed throughout the downtown area of Olathe for a period of one year.
The sculptures are on loan for a stipend amount from artists throughout the country.

Permanent Sculpture Exhibit Sites are also displayed throughout the Olathe community.
The 2015 exhibit is provided for the Olathe community with a budget of $15,000 to cover costs for the juror, stipends for the artists, printed materials, and signage.

This year's exhibit was juried by Raechell Smith.
- Smith has served as Director and Curator of the H&R Block Artspace at the Kansas City Art Institute since its founding in 1999. As a contemporary art space with a strong visual art education mission, the Artspace has been recognized for excellence in architectural design, graphic design, and public programming within the region.
- Smith has organized exhibitions and public art projects presenting work by regional, national, and international artists including Ghada Amer, David Shrigley, Shirin Neshat, Wenda Gu, Lee Boroson, Alexis Rockman, Jenny Holzer, and Vik Muniz.
- Smith has served on advisory panels for the National Endowment for the Arts, Artadia, United States Artists, the Kansas City Municipal Art Commission, the Kansas City Collection, and the Missouri Arts Council.
- Smith is also a founding board member of the Kansas-City based not-for-profit organization, The Charlotte Street Foundation, a member of the Leadership Council of National Alliance of Media Arts and Culture, and the Leadership Council of Artadia.
