New at Mahaffie

Activities vary by season:

  • 1860s Living history activities offered weekends April, May, September & October, Memorial Day-Labor Day, Wednesdays-Sundays
  • 1860s Living history activities may include: stagecoach rides, visiting the Mahaffie House, blacksmith and cookstove demonstrations and seasonal farm activities
  • When stagecoach rides are available, times are: 10:30 a.m.,11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. (Sundays-stagecoach rides begin at 12:30 p.m.)
  • Olathe residents receive $1/off admission for all activities
  • Mahaffie is closed major holidays except for Friday July 4th (Independence Day)

Mahaffie Programs

Please park in the parking lot of the Heritage Center to begin your visit. After viewing the video and exhibit, take your short walk to the grounds of the Mahaffie Farm. Attend one of our special events.
