Olathe Parks & Rec to Host Community Focus Groups and Public Forums

The Olathe Parks and Recreation Department is in the process of developing a new 10 year master plan for our parks and  recreation system. Community input is a valuable tool in this process and we’re asking for your help as we establish priorities for the future improvement of parks, recreation facilities, programs and services within the Olathe community. Please consider attending an upcoming focus group or community forum on Sept. 30, Oct. 1 & Oct. 3. We are hosting focus groups and community forums, these opportunities will help our staff as we work to develop the vision and plan for our system.

We are looking for 100+ volunteers to participate in hour to hour-and-a-half focus groups. Those who choose to participate will be entered into a drawing for a  Quick Trip gift card (recipients drawn from final participation list). We understand that the set time frames will not work for all schedules; if this is the case for you we invite you to attend a public forum. Below are the available dates and time frames. Please call 971-8563 to register for the focus groups (and provide the registration code below). Participants are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis with a maximum of 13 in each group. Community forums are open to the public.
