Spring is here and Mahaffie has lots of programs, school groups and living history to offer!
Weekend Living History Begins April 6
Mahaffie will offer living history activities weekends in April and May. Activities may include see what is cooking on Mrs. Mahaffie's cookstove, visit the blacksmith and the Mahaffie house and take a stagecoach ride (weather and ground conditions permitting). Other activities may include spring farming activities as weather and ground conditions allow. All activities are included with living history admission, $6/adults, $4/children ages 5-11, Olathe residents receive $1/off admission. Season Pass holders get in free for weekend living history.
Passports to Adventure Now Available!
Mahaffie participates in the Interpretive Site Coalition's Passport to Adventure. The passports have information about many different nature centers and museums located throughout the Kansas City Metro area. Once 15 of the 22 sites have been stamped you can receive a prize pack beginning in September. Passports are now available and can be picked up at Mahaffie Wednesday-Saturday 10am to 4pm and Sundays noon to 4pm.
