Urgent Need: Donate blood at the City of Olathe

The City of Olathe is hosting two blood drives in the coming weeks.

City of Olathe Public Works will host a blood drive on Wednesday, Feb. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Public Works Training Room (1385 S. Robinson St.). Appointments are available online or by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767) using sponsor code "CityOfOlathe."

The Olathe Fire Department will host a blood drive on Wednesday, Feb. 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Olathe Fire Administration (1225 S. Hamilton Circle). Appointments are available online or by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767) using sponsor code "OlatheFire."

There is an urgent need for blood donors of all types, but donors with blood types O Negative and B Negative are especially encouraged to donate.

Donations usually take about one hour to complete. Please review the blood donor eligibility requirements before scheduling an appointment.
