Apply for a Downtown Storefront Improvement Grant

The City of Olathe is dedicated to preserving, protecting, and enhancing the businesses and services provided in the Downtown area. Olathe’s Downtown Storefront Improvement Grant is a program designed to encourage and assist commercial property owners to enhance the design and appearance of their storefront façades.

This grant targets businesses, offices, retail and food establishments located in Downtown Olathe. The program is established as a matching grant in which the City of Olathe can contribute up to 50% of the cost of eligible improvements, to a maximum of $10,000 for a single property. Projects are for work done to the exterior of the site only; interior site work or projects are not eligible.

The winning projects will provide the greatest positive impact to the downtown area. Applicants must NOT start work until receiving a formal decision from the City.

Applications are available online and are due by Monday, April 2, 2018. Please review complete program information before submitting an application.
