Post Date:04/08/2019 10:02 AM
The City of Olathe invites residents to join with others from the Kansas City metro to "Make A Ripple, Change The World" as part of the “SevenDays” initiative.

At the April 2 City Council meeting, the Olathe City Council proclaimed April 9 to 15, 2019, as “SevenDays Week.” Each day during SevenDays Week will be devoted to a theme, including love, discover, others, connect, you, go, and onward. Residents and businesses are invited to support “Make A Ripple, Change the World” by attending events including a diversity dinner, community blood drives, wellness activities, and the annual “Faith, Love and Walk.”

"SevenDays" is an initiative created in remembrance of Dr. William Corporon, Reat Underwood and Terri LaManno, who were tragically murdered in a hate crime in Overland Park on April 13, 2014. Mindy Corporon, daughter of Dr. Corporon and mother of Reat, and Dr. Jim LaManno, husband of Terri, launched SevenDays as a way to bring people of diverse backgrounds, religions, ethnicities, and more to learn about each other and develop a better understanding.
